(Let’s Talk About) Implicit Bias

February 1, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bay Bridge is excited to partner with Nicolet Rec Dept. and The Redress Movement (born out of Richard Rothstein’s best selling Color of Law book) to bring you 2 new courses: Implicit Bias and Roots of Racism: Housing Segregation in the United States.

Implicit Bias will run the evening of February 1 and Roots of Racism run the evening of March 1.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN & SPACE IS LIMITED.

In this 2-hour session, Nicolet graduate and social justice professional Dynasty Caesar will introduce the topic of implicit bias, with the goal of increasing participants’ sensitivity to and understanding of it. Using examples from Whitefish Bay, we will then explore how implicit bias impacts us all and how, by building awareness of it in ourselves and in our society, we can begin to work against it. This session will include a variety of approaches, including co-facilitator presentation, video, small and large group discussion, and listening pairs.
