MKE County ICC Workgroup on Racial Equity

Bay Bridge has been attending Milwaukee County Intergovernmental Cooperation Council (ICC) meetings to support the ICC’s Ad Hoc Workgroup on Racial Equity and their recent advisory report. The advisory report makes 24 recommendations for steps local governments can take to pursue equity, including adopting racial equity statements, diversifying workforce recruitment, establishing equity committees, and 9 items around police-oriented reforms. Bay Bridge convened like-minded groups in Shorewood, Wauwatosa, Greendale, Franklin, and Glendale to brainstorm steps we can take in our communities to support this work.
